ABOUT MATERIALS

Materials I use for the jewelry
Metals
All my jewelry is made of sterling silver, 14 carat gold and 18 carat gold.
Jewelry made of 14 carat gold is stamped 585.
Jewelry made of 18 carat gold is stamped 750.
Jewelry made of sterling silver is stamped 925.
585 indicates that 585 ‰ is fine gold and the rest is alloy metal (copper and fine silver).
750 indicates that 750 ‰ is fine gold and the rest is alloy metal (copper and fine silver).
925 indicates that 925 ‰ is fine silver and the rest is alloy metal (copper).
Oxidized sterling silver is alloyed as mentioned above. Oxidation is a surface treatment.
All my jewelry is stamped with my name stamp BAK, which is my guarantee that the purity of the metals used has been complied with.

Gemstones
Gemstones vary in hardness, meaning some stones are hard and can withstand a lot. Softer stones are not suitable for everyday rings, as they will quickly become scratched and dull on the surface, because a ring is the piece of jewelry that takes the most knocks and wear. Therefore, it is important to consider what a stone can withstand when choosing it for your jewelry.
